Why Did I create This Blog?

I believe that most of us have stories that have God's goodness stirred in. I was thinking, why don't I collaborate with others like yourself reading this page to spread these moments adorned with God's love through this blog?

There is so much negativity going on. We turn on the news in the morning, and immediately, we learn about a crime or discord among people that had taken place during our sleep. Many are witnesses to these or someone they know is.

Each time the news reported a crime, I would resort to praying for the victims, their families, and even the perpetrators and their families. So imagine the many times I would say a prayer as I scroll further down the newsfeed. It is exhausting. It becomes easy to feel discouraged and helpless with not knowing what other means are there to stop all the nonsense everywhere.

I am learning to control what I can. How exactly do I do that?

I have made some changes to my daily routine. Simple measures I have taken, such as the time I allow myself to watch the news. I only need to know enough. When the news reporting or the topic steals my peace, I get up and leave the room. I no longer have the news app on my phone. I unfollowed people in the media.

What I do more is read articles and messages sent to my email that encourage positivity and foster calm when patience begins to wear thin. And then I ponder on things. I journal, and recently I created this blog.

With all that said, would you consider sharing stories that are similar to mine that you might want me to include in my blog posts? I would love to hear them. By this collaboration, you and I can get the good vibes going. God-willing, I think this is one way to help counter the negativity around us.

Thank you, and many blessings!
